GOOGLE 20% Last Day

Goal:
My goal for this project was to research about, and learn how to do photo editing. I researched about the different types of photo editing, and edited pictures.

Photo editing is basically anything that can be done to a picture when manipulating it. It includes re-sizing  retouching, rotating, color and contrast and anything else whether done in a dark room or a computer.
The page that I used for editing most of my pictures was Pixlr, although I also used Smugmug at the beginning.

Process:
On Day 1:

  • Discovered the definition of photo editing, and what types t there are.
  •  Found some sites for photo editing and chose two to use throughout the project.
On Day 2:
  • Found the difference between professional and non-professional photo editing.
  • Found links of pages for professional as well and non-professional editing.
  • Edited my first picture using Smugmug.
Days 3, 4, 5:
  • Edited pictures using both Smugmug the third day and Pixlr the fourth and fifth days.

Helpful tools:
  • Smugmug and Pixlr were very good, yet I liked Pixlr better, because it had different types (efficient, advanced and playful), and it was free. Smugmug only had a free trial for eight days and not all the tools could be used or where easy to use.
Not helpful tools:
  • The pages professional editing all required an account and were not free. Some had a free trial but were not so easy to use. These include; Corel Paintshop Pro, Photo Ninja, Photoshop Lightroom 4, and Capture nx2. They seem really good but since they had to be purchased to be used I could not use them.
